WEF Promotes Tourism

The holding of the Eastern Economic Forum (WEF) will positively affect the foreign tourist flow to the regions of the Far East, said the head of Rosturism Oleg Safonov.

      "For the third time, the Eastern Economic Forum will be held, which is a very important platform for us. Over the past two years, we have seen an exceptionally positive dynamics in the growth of inbound tourism," Safonov said.

       From 5 to 8 September, the forum participants will be able to watch open-air cinema. In particular, the screenings of the films "Crew", "The Time of the First", "The End of the Beautiful Epoch", "Attraction" will be organized. On September 8, the participants of the forum will have an evening of Indian cinema.

      On September 7-8, the Mariinsky Theater  will host the ballet Sleeping Beauty, and on September 6, the Torezky Choir concert will take place on the open air.  

      It is expected that the number of participants in the WEF-2017 will exceed the figures of the previous year, when the forum was attended by 4,600 representatives of business, expert and scientific community  from 56 countries.
