The representatives of the US Republican Party, including at least one representative of the presidential administration of Donald Trump, suspect Russia of supporting the “green” for the sake of resisting the production of shale oil. This was reported by Politico.

The request for holding an investigation was submitted by two congresspersons, Lamar Smith and Randy Weber, at the end of June, they wrote a letter to the Finance Minister Stephen Mnuchin. The representatives of environmental organizations denied these rumors, saying that the charges of Smith and Weber represented an attempt to divert the attention from the news about the alleged connection of Trump’s administration with Russia.
