The production of vodka in Russia increased by 19.4% over the past six months.

      The document “On the Social and Economic Situation in Russia” notes that vodka production decreased by 4.6 percent in annual terms, down to 6.3 million decaliters, in June.

      Cognac production has also decreased - minus 11.4 percent, as compared to June of last year. In January-July cognac production grew by 12.8% in annual terms.

      The production of cigarettes shrinked by 20 percent in January-June of the current year. 23.9 billion pieces were produced in June.
