Legal Roof Excursions Available in St. Petersburg Now

The new project makes it possible to climb legally on a roof to enjoy a bird’s eye view of the city.

Walking on roofs of Saint Petersburg has always been attractive and popular, but only now it is becoming legal.

A panoramic view of the city from the rooftop on 65, Ligovsky Avenue has become accessible to Saint Petersburg dwellers and tourists alike since June 24, 2017.

Besides the city view, the main exhibit on the roof is one of the 180 famous towers, which harbored observation posts of the local air defense during World War II. The tower has been restored and prepared for display.

During the excursion visitors will be told about the roofs of St. Petersburg under reign of Peter I and about fire bombs extinguished on roofs in the war years.

The roof will be open for visitors from 9 am to 9 pm.
