For the first time the Day of Moscow transport will be celebrated on July 8, the Mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin wrote on Twitter on Wednesday. "On July 8, for the first time, we will celebrate the Day of Moscow Transport. In Moscow parks there will be a big festive program," S. Sobyanin wrote.
Last year the Moscow City Duma adopted an amendment to the capital law, according to which the Day of Moscow Transport is celebrated on the second Saturday of July. One of the main points of the celebration will be the Frunzenskaya embankment. There guests will take part in contests and quizzes, and listen to the concert of the participants of the project "Music in the metro." Various types of urban transport will be installed on the site: trolleybuses, buses of different capacities, electric buses and taxis. A large festive program is also planned in the Gorky and Sokolniki parks and VDNKh.
