The authorities of Sochi state that the hotels and restaurants of the resort city are ready to receive the fans of the FIFA World Cup, which will be held in Russia in 2018.

"Today Sochi has more than 1.9 thousand classified hotels, which is more than enough for the World Cup in 2018," - said Deputy Mayor of Sochi Sergei Yurchenko at a press conference on Sunday. He noted that "the pre-Olympic grandiose construction allowed to increase the number of rooms (hotels) of the resort by 24 thousand."

"We can now hold any event in Sochi, including the 2018 FIFA World Cup, with a sufficient number of classified hotels," the vice-mayor said. According to him, in Sochi, 370 cafes and restaurants are marked on the road map and recommended by FIFA for the participants and guests of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
