The third festival "Waltz of Flowers" opens in Klin on Wednesday, the press service of the Klin district administration reports.
"The third festival of floristry and design "Waltz of Flowers" will open on June 21 in the Iolanta park on the territory of the Demyanovo estate in Klin. This year's festival of flowers is dedicated to the 700th anniversary of Klin. The opening of the festival will take place at 19:00.
The administration notes that 35 compositions will be presented on the open area of the park. The winners of the festival will be chosen by both the professional jury and the popular vote.
On the opening day of the festival, the jury will select three winners in two nominations, dedicated to the city anniversary and city history pages, embodied in landscape design.
Klin is a town in the Moscow Region, an administrative centre of Klin District.
Highway Moscow — St. Petersburg runs through the town.
Within the town there is the military airdrome Klin-5 that admits aircrafts of almost all categories.
The city population is around 80 thousand persons as of 2010.
