The Rosselkhoznadzor delegation that arrived in Turkey started inspections of local establishments for fruit and vegetable crop production that are interested in supplies to the Russian market.

      During the inspection the experts of the Russian veterinary authority primarily check compliance with phytosanitary requirements and for absence of quarantine pests in products ready to be supplied to the Russian Federation. During this inspection the Rosselkhoznadzor specialists inspect major establishments for crop production of such cultures as lettuce (Lactuca sativa), iceberg lettuce, bell pepper, squash, pumpkin. These are the products that come under temporary restrictions that were introduced by the Rosselkhoznadzor due to the fact that the products imported from Turkey contained dangerous quarantine pests listed in Russia.
