Cancerolizin To Destroy Cancer Cells

Anti-cancer agent Cancerolizin was developed in the state science centre of virology and biotechnology Vector and successfully passed preclinical trials. Cancerolizin is selective towards tumor cells and causes no side effects.

Over a half of human malignant tumors have mutations in p53 gene despite their location. This fact allowed scientists to develop a mutant human adenovirus Adel2, which proliferates selectively in cells with defects in p53 gene and destroys them. Said adenovirus then was used as a base for Cancerolizin.

During preclinical trials scientists showed that Cancerolizin causes no fever, is non-toxic and doesnt damage tissues and organs. The agent also has no effect on brain functional processes and immune system; it causes no allergy, for example.

Preclinical trials of the agent showed that Cancerolizin was safe and specific. New pharmaceutical is now waiting for the expertise, after which first stage of the clinical trials begins.
