March 13 marks the 66th anniversary since the birth of the film and stage actress, the People's Artist of Russia Irina Alferova.
The actress gained fame as a student of GITIS yet, having played one of the main roles in Vasily Ordynsky's multi-series television film The Road to Calvary after the same-name novel by Leo Tolstoy. Her next starring role was Constance Bonacieux in D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers directed by George Jungvald-Khilkevich. Very fast Irina Alferova became one of the most popular actresses of the 1980s. Later she was not much into filming, so stage acting prevailed.
Altogether Irina Alferova has performed about 50 film and 20 stage roles.
She was awarded the title of the People's Artist of Russia in 2007, and the Order of Friendship in 2011.
