Igor Altsybeyev from the Ultrahigh Energies Physics Laboratory of the Saint Petersburg University has been appointed the coordinator of a new science team at the Center for European Nuclear Research.
Event-by-event Physics Analysis Group will be engaged in the analysis of the data obtained in the course of A Large Ion Collider Experiment (ALICE) on the Large Hadron Collider, the university press service reports.
The Russian scientist will be in charge of organizing the team's work, holding meetings, preparing reports and publishing the research data. Igor Altsybeev will also represent the group at collaboration meetings of CERN experts.
