Anna Netrebko to Perform Manon Lescaut in Bolshoi Theatre Again

The famous opera singer Anna Netrebko announced her plans to perform the part of Manon Lescaut in the same-name opera by Giacomo Puccini.

The prima donna debuted with this part  in October, 2016 when the opera first appeared - specially for Anna Netrebko — in the repertoire of the Bolshoi Theatre.

The famous soprano, the honored actress of Russia and a holder of the State Award of Russia, she intends to go back to this part again.

As the singer reports, this opera is extremely hard for her — too tragic, bloody, and destructive for both the voice, and the body. "You cannot perform this opera often. Upon five performances of this part on the stage of New York Metropolitain in November I am not planning it there any more. But we will definitely arrive and sing it in the Bolshoi Theatre" — the actress said in an interview to the Russian Newspaper.
