A new expedition across Russia has started recently. A group of dedicated people will tour the country from Karelia in the north-west to Lake Baikal in Siberia.
The enthusiasts are keen to explore their motherland, and to open up this country to foreigners. Their mission to get more versed in the folklore of the indigenous nationalities and to dispel some of the stereotypes which foreign tourist might entertain about Russia. They will see Russians in the flesh. Russians are invited, too, to get a sense of what ordinary life in the regions feels like.
