They were exhibited on November 3 in the Arts Academy.
Design No 95 by Alexander Rodchenko, the Coast of Yalta by Ivan Aivazovsky and In Donbass by Deineka, as well as over 30 paintings more were demonstrated at the preauction exposition in Moscow. Altogether the Russian Week auction in London will put up over 100 lots for the total expected amount of 12 million pounds, Interfax informs.
As reported earlier, Alexander Rodchenko's work Design No 95 will be sold for no less than 2,5 million pounds. Ayvazovsky's canvass has the starting price of about 400 thousand dollars, just like In Donbass by Deineka.
Among the lots there is also the icon of Saviour the Almighty made of gilded silver with semi-precious stones. Created by jeweler Kuzma Konov in 1908 — 1917, the icon is estimated at 20 — 30 thousand pounds.
