Opening of the 5th annual international contemporary music festival Different Space took place in Moscow yesterday.
The festival organizers promised that this year visitors would see several vivid and long-awaited premieres. For the first time the program will include works by music classics of the last century, such as K. Stockhausen, L. Berio, and D. Adams.
In addition the public will be introduced to a brand new work under the name Phantoms by V. Nikolaeyv. The composition will be performed by the Svetlanov State Academic Symphonic Orchestra of Russia. Besides, a new play composed specially for the festival this year will premiere. The play is written for the saxophone, flute, bayan, violin and violoncello. It will be performed by musicians of the Actual Music Gallery.
