The 94-year-old Russian scientist is one of the creators of digital television international standards and high definition television.

      The legendary scientist Mark Krivosheyev has won the all-Russian award "Gold Beam" in the field of satellite, cable and Internet television. The award ceremony took place in the Helicon Opera Theater, Moscow on Wednesday.

      The 94-year-old Honorary Chairman of the Research Broadcasting Committee of the International Telecommunications Union has been awarded For Merits in the World Development of Digital Television.
