The Russian government has approved the increase in the federal budget deficit in 2016. This was told by the Head of the Ministry of Natural Resources Sergey Donskoy.

      According to the Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, more than a trillion roubles will be reallocated within the budget, most of these funds will be spent on the fulfillment of social obligations. “We need to correct the budget deficit, which has generally grown a bit, but remains at an acceptable level” – Medvedev noted. Earlier, on October 6, the Head of the government reported that the state would save about 700 billion roubles in 2016 due to the reduction in inefficient budget expenditures.
