Dutch agricultural producers have reduced the losses from Russian counter-sanctions to zero. This was announced by the Trade Representative of Russia in the Netherlands Aleksandr Cherevko. Dutch business has found new markets with the help of the government and dairy producers shifted to China and Brazil, as Cherevko noted.
“In 2015 there were minor expenditures. And in 2016 they are already fully switched to other markets” - he said. Now it will not be easy for Dutch companies to return to Russia even after the removal of counter-sanctions, because the Russian market is now almost fully occupied, as the sales representative emphasized. The loss of agricultural producers of the Netherlands due to the Russian import ban in 2014 was estimated at 1.5 billion euros by the Dutch association of farmers, as the agency reported.
