The meeting initiated by the Moroccan side was held in Moscow on the 30th of August, 2016. Representatives of the Moroccan Embassy in Russia and the Moroccan Autonomous Authority for the Control and Coordination of Exports in the Russian Federation also took part in the negotiations.
The Rosselkhoznadzor highlighted that Russia has a long-standing, trust-based relationship with Morocco and it contributes to dynamic development of bilateral trade and economic ties. In particular, Morocco exports large volumes of citruses to Russia and it has significantly increased export volumes of tomatoes, peaches, pears, apples and other plant products. Russia, in its turn, significantly increased exports of wheat to Morocco.
