The meeting between Ye.A. Nepoklonov, Deputy Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor, and Salah Fadhil Abbas, Director General of the Animal Health Department, Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform of the Republic of Iraq, was held in Moscow on August 22, 2016 during the Iraqi delegation’s visit to the Russian Federation. Representatives of the business communities of both countries also took part in the negotiations.

      Yevgeny Nepoklonov has noted that the Rosselkhoznadzor is interested in building trust-based and effective regular and stable relations between the Russian Federation and Iraq surveillance authorities  that will help to create conditions for stable mutual trade. Signing of the agreement on cooperation laying down all aspects and mechanisms of the bilateral mutually beneficial relations development will provide a basis for the said interactions.
