Valery Gergiev With Youth Ochestra to Perform  in Japan

Valery Gergiev, the art director of the Mariinsky Theater will conduct a concert of the Pacific Music Festival Orchestra in Japan.


      The Pacific Music Festival Orchestra is a youth collective of 90 musician from 18 to 29 years of age, who are selected at auditions worldwide.


      Concerts under conductorship of Valery Gergiev will be held from the 4th to 9th of August. The orchestra will first perform on the stage of the Titose Cultural Center and in the concert hall Shimin Kaikan in the city of Hakodate.


      "On August 6 and 7 the young musicians will show up in Sapporo. The final concert of the Pacific Music Festival Orchestra will take place in  Santori Hall of Tokyo on August 9.
