Rosselkhoznadzor Imposes Restrictions On Goods From Uganda

The Federal Service for Phytosanitary Surveillance reports that from July 7, 2016 due to exports of regulated products not previously supplied from Uganda to the Russian Federation through the territory of the EU member countries and lack of data on growth and production volumes of the said goods in Uganda, the Rosselkhoznadzor imposes temporary restrictions on export of products with high phytosanitary risk originating in Uganda, as well as those transited through third countries.

The measure is aimed at preventing import of agricultural goods which come under the retaliatory economic measures imposed by the President of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Russian Federation.
