The budget deficit in 2016 will move beyond the frame of forecast (three percent of GDP) in case of additional indexation of pensions in autumn, as the Finance Minister Anton Siluanov stated. This was reported by RIA Novosti on Thursday, May 26. "Of course, this issue will move beyond the predicted deficit defined by us. As we agreed, the decision will be reviewed on the basis of the way the budget is met in the first half of the year”- the Minister said.

      Siluanov also added that in 2016 the Russian authorities could take more than 2.1 trillion roubles from the reserve fund to cover the budget deficit.
