NHL: Ovi Grabs Top Scorer Trophy

Alexander Ovechkin has grabbed Maurice Richard Trophy with 50 goals in this season.

      Ovi claims his sixth career top goal-scoring prize.

      The Capitals' captain had a hat trick Saturday to reach 50 goals, for seventh time in his NHL career.

      The Washington Capitals have secured the top seed in the Eastern Conference for the Stanley Cup Playoffs after a 4-2 victory against the Ottawa Senators at Canadian Tire Centre on Tuesday.

      The win was clinched by Mike Richards, Alex Ovechkin, Nicklas Backstrom and T.J. Oshie, who hit the empty net 13 seconds before regulation time was over.
