Rostelekom has started developing an application that will be able to call and send messages. The project is called “Allo”. This was said to Lenta.ru by the project manager Andrey Polyakov. According to him, the service will be paid and will be a better version of a home-based phone. The functions will be somewhat similar to Skype.
The “Allo” users will be able to send and receive calls and messages from their home phone. The possibility to use the application via the internet will give users access to their home phone number from anywhere they go. On top of that “Alle” will allow the fixed connextion to be personal giving different members of the family the opportunity to have their own landline. The application will be usable with different telephone operators just as much as with Rostelekom. The application will be usable for Android and IOS. In November 2015 Rostelekom has launched a beta-version of the portal games.rt.ru – a service for digital game distribution.
