Russian Federation offers additional integration spheres for countries of Shanghai Cooperation Association

Russia offers countries of Shanghai cooperation to create a single concept of development of oil and gas transport system. This has been reported today by the prime minister of the RF Michail Fradkov at the sitting of the Council of premiers of the states of Shanghai Cooperation Association (SCA) in Bishkek.
      
      
       Mr. Fradkov also pointed at the necessity to establish within SCA a club of consumers and producers of energy carriers. Besides the Russian premier proposed that the chief executives should work out the issue of coordination of cooperation in the sphere of taxation and to set up a relative working group.
      Another area of integration will become the sphere of international road transportation. Russia stands for the speedy agreement about facilitating activities in this sphere between SCA countries.
      
       According to the premier, SCA countries should promote cooperation in the sphere of transportation and coordination of policy towards development of transit traffic and setting up of international transportation corridors. The Russian prime-minister noted, that SCA presently has great potential for implementing the program of international trade and economic cooperation of its members. The document on cooperation in this sphere will be created by the end of 2004.
