The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation has proposed in the project “Strategies of State Culture Policy” to increase the volumes of financing of national culture funded with deductions from excise taxes on alcohol and tobacco products. It is reported in Izvestiya on Friday, 22nd of January.

      It is noted in the newspaper: “If 50% of deductions from excise taxes on tobacco and alcohol are directed to the culture one will be able to talk about the amount equal to 260 billions of rubles of annual additional funds”. “But now there is no use to comment something that has not been approved officially”, the President Advisor for Culture, Mr. Vladimir Tolstoy commented.
