Evgeny Kuznetsov has been recognized as the NHL’s number one star of the day after he had a career high four assists in a game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Among others, he set up a one-timer for Ovi, who scored his 503rd goal.

Earlier, Alex Ovechkin and Evgeny Kuznetsov played a critical role in routing the New York Rangers, securing have won 12 consecutive games at home.
Ovi tied it by scoring a power-play goal with 1:59 remaining in the period. “On a broken play, Kuznetsov sent a cross-ice pass to Ovechkin, who settled the puck and sidestepped Rangers defenseman Dylan McIlrath before beating Raanta with a wrist shot from the high slot for his 27th goal of the season,” according to the NHL.com
Kuzy assisted Williams in all his three goals.
"Considering I really didn't score on a goalie; [forward Evgeny Kuznetsov] gave me a backdoor goal and I scored an empty-netter and then I had a tip-in," Williams was quoted by the NHL.com as saying. "It's been pretty easy to play with linemates like that. Sometimes you just go to the net with your stick on the ice and somehow he finds you."
