Egypt expressed the desire to increase exports of plant products and citrus fruits to Russia. This was said by the Commercial Office of the Embassy of Egypt Ahmed Fadel Bedevi in the negotiations with the Head of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance in Moscow, according to the official website of the Russian Ministry.

The Egyptian party directly linked its offer with the introduction of a ban on imports of Turkish agricultural products to Russia. In addition, Cairo offered to increase the supply of dairy products. For this purpose it is proposed to supplement the list of exporting companies, as well as expand the range of products: add another dairy products to the permitted kinds of cheese. The representative of the African country said that “the Egyptian producers were ready to comply with all the requirements of the Russian Federation regarding the ensuring of safety of these products in the veterinary and sanitary, as well as phytosanitary respects”.
