NATO will hold an emergency meeting in connection with the fall of the Russian Su-24 bomber in Syria. The meeting will be held at the ambassadorial level, no press events are provided at the moment.
According to TASS referring to the headquarters of the alliance, the North Atlantic Council will hold consultations in Brussels. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. Moscow time.
The British Foreign Office called the incident with the fall of the Su-24 "very serious", Reuters stressed.
The UN has previously commented that the situation with the Russian plane could complicate the fight against terrorism on the territory of Syria.
