Skating Rink Opened In Gorky Park

A skating rink opened in Gorky Park, which gave start to the season of winter holidays in Moscow, as the Head of the Department of Culture Aleksandr Kibovsky told at the opening ceremony.

      “Today, on November 13, a skating rink is opened in Gorky Park, this is is the fifth season of the rink – its anniversary, the rink occupies 18 thousand square meters. A real ice extravaganza played behind our backs, and everybody who wishes can skate. In fact, the season of winter recreation in our city starts today” – the “Moskva” Agency quotes the words of Kibovsky. The official noted that the opening of 1,470 skating rinks was scheduled in the city this season. There are a total of 188 skating rinks with artificial ice in the city, they can run all winter through.
