A six-meter felt boot appeared at the embankment of Obvodny Canal in St. Petersburg on November 13. The new art object called “Russian Size” was created by the St. Petersburg artist Valeria Loshak.
Its opening was timed to coincide with the opening of the “Modulor 2015” Design Biennale. The felt boot is placed opposite the “TKACHI” creative space because the giant art object did not fit into the exhibition hall. The artist has long been professionally engaged in wool crafting. Her previous work dedicated to the graduation from the Stieglitz St. Petersburg Academy was a 12-meter felt panel which became the first panel of such large size in the history of the academy.
