72 stage productions and 212 stage directors, actors, and stage designers have been nominated for the Gold Mask.

      45 per cent of the nominees of the all-Russian theatre award come from the regions of Russia.

      The long-lists of the Gold Mask-2016 were made by  are defined by a judging panel.

      Among the leading nominees there are the Perm and Yekaterinburg Opera and Ballet Theaters, the Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama Theater, and the Aleksandrinsky Theater.

      The chairman of the Gold Mask judging panel in the category Music Theatre, Yekaterina Biryukova noted that the center of music theatre in general has shifted to the Urals: namely the cities of Chelyabinsk, Yekaterinburg, and Perm.

      The award ceremony will take place on April 16, 2016.
