Metallica to Rock Moscow in June

June 1, the Children Protection Day, will be marked by the concert of Metallica, one of the world`s most popular heavy metal bands, in Luzhniki, Moscow.

The concert will be part of the band`s special European tour.

There were rumours of Metallica`s coming to Russia in early April; however no one could verify them.

For the first time Moscow saw Metallica live at the festival Rock Monsters in Tushino in 1991. For a long time the second visit was not affordable; though the musicians were eager to come to the Russian capital they are accustomed to charge over $1.5 million for one concert. This time several organizations have decided to unite their forces and bring one of the originators of thrash metal to their Russian fans.
