The 12th theatre festival Kamerata is dedicated to solo performances.

      The festival brings together theaters from Yekaterinburg, Tyumen, Nizhnevartovsk, Moscow and the Moscow Region, as well as Sweden and Israel.

      Solo performance festivals are rather rare in Russia, however, this genre enjoys popularity among actors. Only in this genre the actor can be both the performer and the stage director at the same time.

      Sometimes a solo play involves several characters, but they are performed by one actor.

      On the opening day the audience saw The Kreutzer Sonata played by Alexander Tikhonov from the Tyumen Drama Theater. Altogether the festival will present nine solo stage productions.
