The Russian air group has stricken 50 terrorist objects of the “Islamic State” since the beginning of the operations in Syria.

      The aircrafts of Aerospace Forces (ASF) have made more than 60 flights since September 30. This was reported by the Head of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the RF, Colonel-General Andrei Kartapolov, on Saturday, October 3; his words were quoted by “Interfax”.

      “During the three days we have been able to undermine the material base of the terrorists and to significantly reduce their combat potential” - Kartapolov said at the National Centre for Control of Defense of the state. He noted that the strikes were inflicted around the clock from the air base of Hmeymim “to the entire depth of the territory of Syria”.

      Kartapolov also stressed the fact that the Russian air forces would not only continue the strikes, “but also increase their intensity”.
