30 Units Of Equipment Were Destroyed By Russian Aircrafts In Syria

The Russian aircrafts have destroyed a bunch of armored vehicles and tanks at the base of the terrorist group “Islamic State” (IS, an organization prohibited in the Russian Federation) in Syria. This was reported by the spokesman of the Defense Ministry, Major-General Igor Konashenkov, on Monday, October 5, according to TASS.

      As the military agency reported, about 30 units of various equipment were destroyed, including T-55 tanks captured by the militants from the Syrian army.

      “Six air strikes were inflicted on the objects, as a result, the equipment of the militants was completely destroyed” – Konashenkov stated. In addition to the armored vehicles, Su-24M bombers of the Aerospace Forces (ASF) of Russia attacked a communications centre and a command centre of the terrorists in the Syrian province of Homs. “The data of radio intelligence confirmed the termination of its operation” - the speaker of the Defense Ministry added.
