The state monitoring system of food quality will be created in Russia.

      The president of Russia Vladimir Putin ordered the Government to develop a national control system of quality of food. It will help to avoid double standards in quality control for foreign and Russian products.

      The first report on the development will be presented to Putin on November 10. And by December, it will be reported on the creation of a mechanism of avoiding double standards in quality control for foreign and Russian products.

      The establishment of a quality control system may develop in two scenarios. According to the first,  the term "quality" will appear in the law, and therefore the regulatory framework will be changed dramatically. In a second one, series of Good Practice in the field of quality control will become mandatory.
