Writer Alexei Ivanov is in Top Three of Most Popular Authors in Moscow

According to the 2014 rating of Moscow libraries, Alexei Ivanov ranks third after Gabriel Garcia Márquez and Dina Rubina.


Moscow libraries analyzed their readers inquiries throughout the year of 2014 and found out that the most asked for author was Gabriel Garcia Márquez (One Hundred Years of Solitude), followed by Dina Rubina (the trilogy Russian Canary: Zheltukhin, The Voice, and The Prodigal Son) and Alexei Ivanov (The Geographer Drank his Globe Away).


The Geographer Drank his Globe Away screened by the film director Alexander Veledinsky in 2013 was a great success. Alexei Ivanov’s book The Heart of Parma will become the basis for another feature film. The work on its scenario is under way and planned to be completed this year.
