The new dealers of “AvtoVAZ” are the three Moscow companies – “Major” (the 25th kilometer of the “Baltiya” highway), “Avignon” (Khovrino) and “Rus Avto” (Podolsk).
This is reported by “Vedomosti” with the reference to a top manager of one of the dealers of “AvtoVAZ”. According to the source, the task of these companies will be to increase the share of Lada in the Moscow market. The share is small, because people in Moscow like expensive cars, as the source of the newspaper noted. As the representative of “AvtoVAZ” told, the opening of new dealerships, as well as enhancing the quality of work of the existing ones made it possible to increase the share of Lada in the Moscow region from 3 percent in 2014 to almost 4.5 percent in the first half of 2015.
The cooperation of “Major” with “AvtoVAZ” is an attempt to regain market position in the market, according to a top manager of the dealership holding. Other market participants believe that the goal of “Major” is to hold the share, since it has a lot of “problematic” brands (Opel, Chevrolet, SsangYong, Honda, Citroen, Peugeot).
