About 700-800 cases of violations of embargo were recorded in the import of food products in Russia.

According to TASS, this was reported by the Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich. He explained that administrative decisions were made on these cases, and the appropriate cases were filed. The Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare has intensified its efforts on control of the situation in the retail sector, according to the Deputy Prime Minister. In addition, Russia has begun to work more closely on this issue with Belarus and Kazakhstan.

“The system is working better. We cannot say that all the issues are resolved, because whenever there is a ban, there are attempts to circumvent it, there are always swindlers, no matter in what country” - the official said, adding that now it was not an emergency, but a “normal routine work”.
