Week of Russian Culture will be held in Iran for the first time in the framework of a three-year-long program of cultural cooperation of Iran and Russian Federation. It will last from April 23 to 28.
The Russian Minister of Culture Alexandr Sokolov and the head of Federal Agency for Culture Mikhail Shvydkoi will open the event, along with over 60 representatives of Russian art and culture.
The best concert halls and exhibition halls are made available for the participants of the Russian Week. The events of the Week include an exhibition of national arts and crafts, an exhibition of contemporary Russian photography, concerts of classical music (choir, solo and symphonic), a puppet theatre performance and many others.
The first official Week of Iranian Culture is expected next year in Russia.
