Mario Mandžukić may start his next season at St. Petersburg as rumours are ripe he’s about to join Zenit.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Zenit St. Petersburg offered Atletico Madrid EUR 28 million for the Croatian striker.
Earlier reports suggested he was sought by Man United and Juventus, but the teams were not ready to splash so much cash on the top scorer with a total of 20 goals and 5 assists in 43 matches in the Spanish La Liga.
According to the Metro.co.uk, the player is set to go after falling out with coach Diego Simeone.
Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham have also been linked with a deal
He is currently valued at £36million.
