The project “Mobile Planetarium” will be launched this spring as a part of the program of mobile service of remote areas implemented with the support of the Department of Culture of Moscow.
First shows will be held on April 12, 2015 in the Southern Autonomous District of Moscow and will be timed to the Day of Cosmonautics. Entrance to the planetarium will be free for all visitors. The project “Mobile Planetarium” with the support of the Department of Culture of Moscow was successfully launched in 2014 in the remote areas of Troitsky and Novomoskovsky districts.
This year the Planetarium will come to other remote areas of the capital - Biryulyovo Zapadnoe, Khovrino and Kapotnya. Beginning from April 12, the residents of remote areas will be able to see stereo films about space objects, the structure of the Solar System and space explorers right next to their houses. It is planned to hold 4 shows each day: at 12 noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. The shows will be accompanied by interesting lectures, the visitors will be able to address any questions to the lecturer. The Planetarium accommodates 30-35 people, the duration of one show is 40 minutes.
