The oil company Rosneft will be excluded from the list of strategic enterprises next month, reported the head of Ministry of economy development and trade German Gref.
According to him the ministry is getting ready with a set of documents under which a number of companies will be excluded from the list of strategic enterprises of Russia. The companies included in the noted list can be privatized only upon approval of the Russian President.
Among the companies still enlisted as strategic enterprises are Aeroflot, Svyazinvest, Vnesjtorgbank, air holding “Sukhoi”, Ilyushin air complex, ALROSA, Transneft, Transnefteproduct, Gasprom, Zarubezhneft, Sheremetyevo airport, Rosneft, Tehsnabexport and the space rocket corporation Energy named for S.P. Korolev.
The RF government intended to request the President not to change privatization program for 2004-2005 any more arguing that the Decree of August, 6, 2004 set the list of strategic enterprises including “ 4 times more enterprises than it had been expected”.
As for Rosneft it is now completely owned by the state and included in the list of strategic enterprises and joint-stock companies of Russia, that was confirmed by the Russian President Vladimir Putin on the 4th of August, 2004.
