Mysterious Christmas fortune-telling will be held in Oshurkova Estate (Ekaterinburg) on January 13, 15 and 16, 2015.

The Christmastide period begins on Christmas and lasts for two weeks until Epiphany. People in villages had a lot fun during this period: visited each other, sang songs, danced, went carol-singing. And, of course, the favorite Christmastide tradition was fortune-telling, going to neighboring yards singing Christmas carols, performing nativity scenes, arranging different pranks, dressed as evil spirits and animals.

Oshurkova Estate will immerse you into the village life during Christmastide! Young girls will be able to tell fortunes about their fiancés and marriages, road, harvest (wealth) and children. Christmastide fortune-telling will be closed by a big all-right party including kissing and other folk games, walk-arounds and dances. In addition, everyone will have an opportunity to sing carols.
