Public Chamber Allowed to Work with State Duma

Russian State Duma deputies have passed amendments to their internal code to allow for Public Chamber members participate in State Duma sessions.

The new rules allow up to 5 people to be present at the committee sessions and ensure that materials needed for legislative examinations will be forwarded to the Public Chamber.

They could also be invited to plenary sessions, but without a right to take part in the debates.
