Disabled Person Saved Life of Two Kids in Tver Region

Two 8 and 9 year-old children fell from fractured ice into water on Lake Balast in Savelov on October 29. 

      The drowning children were spotted by people around. The fifty-year-old Victor Batyk who was passing by the lake rushed to rescue the boys. In spite of the fact that he is a disabled person and walks with a stick, the man threw off his jacket and plunged into the water.

      “If it was not for Victor, the kids would have drowned for sure”, - the witnesses of the incident say.
