A handbook on educational tourism for tour operators, who organize excursions for schoolchildren, will be created in Moscow by the end of 2014. Deputy chairman of the Committee on Tourism and Hospitality Management in Moscow (Moskomturizm) Irina Rudenko reported this to Moskva Agency. According to her, the handbook project has already been prepared. After consultation with the regional education representatives it will be approved and published on the Internet, as well as published in the printed version.
Y.A. Senkevich Moscow State Institute of Tourism Industry, which won the competition for this project, is working on the handbook in cooperation with Moskomturizm. "Our goal is also to help our regional colleagues, who do not always have time to follow the changes in the legislation. These are, for example, the requirements for the organization of children transportation on the buses and others. My suggestion is to publish regulatory legal acts that regulate the transportation of children and guided tours, and to display them for the public," Mr. Rudenko said.
