State Duma Oks Bill On Countering Terrorism

Russian special forces will now have the right to read e-mails and tap cell phone conversations during an anti-terrorist operation.
      
      The State Duma has approved the bill on countering terrorism. Under the bill, the air defence troops are authorized to bring down aircraft hijacked by terrorists and engage the military to exterminate terrorists. Russians are divided over the effeciency of the new methods introduced by the bill.
      
      The bill will now go to the Federation Council.
